Our team did us proud – but there were a few aching backs the next day!  Thanks to Barbara, Celia, Esme and the two Margarets – their castle stood majestically against the incoming tide.

We had beautiful weather, lovely food and enjoyable company with the other WIs – another good evening and Alnmouth at its best.

Pam Muggleton is a Newcastle lass who has travelled extensively in her career as a teacher.  Her first post was at Welbeck Road Secondary Modern School moving on and up becoming Deputy Head at various comprensive schools,  including teaching in both Germany and Hong Kong,  enjoying the challenge that teaching abroad presented.  Ten years ago, together  with her husband Alan,  who was also in the same profession,  they decided to move North to Alnmouth after living for some years in Essex, which is Alan’s home County.

Pam is very much  now part of the community,  getting involved in the History Society and many of the activities our village has to offer but in particular Alnmouth W.I.  She joined as soon as they moved to the village and has been an extremely active member ever since.

Congratulations Pam and we look forward  to your time in office.
